200 FailSafe GuardSwitch Series
Non-Contact Safety Interlock Switch - FailSafe
Description
The FailSafe Guardswitch is designed as a safety interlock to be attached to a machine's guard or door. Unlike a standard reed switch interlock, the circuit has been designed to have an "open" failure mode. If the main reed sticks closed when the guard opens, the in-line fuse will blow, opening the circuit. If the watchdog reed sticks closed when the guard closes, the in-line fuse will blow, opening the circuit. The circuit will draw up to 4.0A to blow the fuse in less than 200 ms. Applications - Requiring a "Fail-Safe" Switch |

Note: The F6 model has a patented “watch-dog” circuit which, when switch failure occurs, the fused watch-dog circuit will draw 2.5 Amps. The voltage supply must have a current capacity of 2.5 Amps. This results in an open, fail-safe condition.
Note: The F7 model has a patented "watch dog" circuit which, when switch failure occurs, the fused watch-dog circuit will draw 4.0 Amps. The voltage supply must have a current capacity of 4.0 Amps. This results in an open, fail-safe condition.
